Where We Came From
CedarFalls was founded in 2026 by a group of game designers and visual artists based in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood. We had all worked in digital product studios for years, and we kept returning to the same conversation: why does most free-play entertainment look so forgettable? Why does every social game seem to copy the same muted palette, the same beige UI, the same half-hearted attempt at "fun"?
We decided to do something different. We built CedarFalls around a single premise: a free entertainment product should look extraordinary — not polished in a corporate way, but vivid, comic-book bold, and unapologetically colourful. CLUSTER BLAST was our answer. Deep purple skies, teal nebulae, cel-shaded cartoon rockets and aliens — every frame designed as if it were a panel in a graphic novel.
What We Believe About Play
We believe that entertainment should be something you choose to do, not something that pulls you toward it through dark patterns or manufactured urgency. CLUSTER BLAST has no timers, no "limited offers," no artificial scarcity. You play when you want, for as long as you want, and you stop when you decide to stop.
We also believe that free means free. There are no in-app purchases on CedarFalls, no premium tiers, no virtual currency you can buy. Every player starts with the same credits and the same odds. That equality is a design choice we will not compromise.
Our Founders' Note
"We wanted to make something that looked like the games we loved as kids — loud, bright, and joyful — but built for adults who appreciate honesty about what they're looking at. CedarFalls is entertainment. Just entertainment. We're proud of that."

Three Principles We Build By
We don't harvest personal data beyond what is strictly necessary for our platform to function. We don't use manipulative design to extend sessions. We don't accept advertising that promotes real-money play to our users.
We build visually ambitious, completely free entertainment. We partner with responsible-play organisations and link to them prominently. We fix bugs quickly, communicate openly, and treat our users as adults capable of making their own decisions.
Not by session length. Not by "engagement." We measure success by whether people return because they genuinely enjoy the experience — not because we engineered them to. A short, happy visit beats a long, pressured one every time.
The People Behind CedarFalls
Maya leads visual direction and makes sure every pixel on CedarFalls earns its colour. She spent seven years in motion design before pivoting to social gaming.
Dominic built the CLUSTER BLAST engine from scratch and obsesses over mobile performance. He was part of two previous Toronto startups before joining CedarFalls.
Renata oversees user experience and responsible-play policy. She collaborated with several Canadian non-profits on digital wellness before joining the team.
Simon writes all copy across the platform and manages community communications. He was previously a journalist covering technology and consumer affairs in Montreal.
